DREADLOCK SERVICES

Welcome to The Dreaded Hollow -
a sacred space where hair is transformed, energy is honoured, and magic weaves through every strand.

I specialise in natural dreadlock creation, maintenance & repair using a crochet-only method -
no wax, no chemicals, just skilled hands and deep intention.
Whether you’re beginning your dread journey, tending your roots, or breathing new life into tired locks,
I’m here to work with your crown like the altar it is.

I also craft bespoke hair wraps, custom dreadlock extensions (in wool, synthetic, or human hair),
and curate a collection of enchanting beads, talismans, and occasional handcrafted adornments,
each chosen to reflect the soul of the wearer.

This is more than a service - it’s spellwork in motion.
A celebration of the wild, the sacred, and the beautifully dreaded.

  • Let me cast a spell upon your crown…

As a qualified Loctician, I work gently and efficiently, forming locks through a crochet-only ritual.
No wax. No chemicals. Only steady hands, time-honoured technique, and intention woven into every strand.
This is pain-free dreadlock creation, guided by experience, care, and deep respect for your energy.

All new dread journeys begin with a base creation offering, which anchors the spellwork and prepares your crown:

    • $200 — Top knot / partial crown

    • $300 — Half head / dreadhawk

    • $400 — Full crown

This base offering includes consultation, cleansing, sectioning, preparation, and the initial shaping of your locks — the moment your spell is first set.

Once the foundation is complete, pricing continues per dread, based on length:

    Per-Lock Spellwork

    • $10 — Shoulder length

    • $15 — Mid-back length

    • $20 — Waist length (maximum)

Each dread is created with warmth, patience, and intention — never forced, never rushed — a living spell designed to grow, evolve, and walk beside you.

  • With crochet hook in hand, I tend to your crown through the sacred art of dreadlock maintenance.

I gently weave wandering hairs back into place, smooth the lumps and bumps earned through living, tighten new growth at the roots, and carefully separate each lock so it may continue to grow strong and true.

As a gentle guide, a full crown of around 50 dreads typically requires 2–3 hours of focused maintenance.

    Energy exchange: $80 per hour

Each session is unhurried, intentional, and respectful — a quiet ritual of care to restore balance, strength, and harmony to your locks.

  • This offering is for crowns that have fallen out of balance.

It includes the restoration of locks that have grown too thick or too thin, formed loops and bumps, or become tightly matted at the scalp. It also covers the repair and reattachment of slipping extensions, the strengthening of weakened or broken strands, and the gentle reshaping of locks that have lost their form over time.

Through patient dreadlock repair — including matting removal, reinforcement, reshaping, and reattachment — I work slowly and intentionally, honouring both the history of your hair and where it is meant to go next. Nothing is forced. Nothing is rushed. Only careful hands and restorative spellwork.

    Energy exchange: $80 per hour

Each repair is an act of reclamation, restoring harmony, structure, and strength so your crown may continue its journey with ease.

  • A temporary transformation for those called to the magic of dreadlocks, but not yet ready to bind them permanently.

Braid-in installations are a protective, non-permanent style, lasting approximately 4–8 weeks. Your natural hair is gently braided onto the dreadlock extension, anchoring it securely while allowing your crown to rest, explore, and return to itself when the time is right.

This offering is ideal for those seeking a dramatic shift in appearance without the lifelong commitment of formed dreadlocks — a way to wear the magic, walk with it, and release it when the season changes.

Custom dreadlock extensions can be crafted upon request.

    Energy exchange: $80 per hour
As a gentle guide, a full crown installation typically takes 2–3 hours.

Each install is performed with care, balance, and intention — a temporary enchantment woven to protect your hair while you step into a new expression of yourself.

  • Human hair extensions are offered for those wishing to lengthen and enhance their existing dreadlocks, allowing your crown to grow beyond its current form.

Each set is carefully crafted using natural-tone human hair wefts only, chosen to blend seamlessly with your own locks. You may select your desired length, size, and thickness, with the option of long, luxe ends for a softer, flowing finish.

Every extension is made slowly and deliberately, honouring balance, realism, and longevity — an adornment designed to become part of your story, not sit apart from it.

Pricing is offered by request, and is guided by your individual needs, chosen length, and the intentions set for your crown.

  • Step into transformation with handcrafted dreadlock extensions, woven as adornments of power and self-expression.

Each set is crafted using quality synthetic hair or hand-felted wool, created in the colours that call to you and finished with your chosen beads and charms. Every piece is made with intention, designed to feel both magical and wearable.

Curly, straight, wavy, or wool-soft — you may mix and match textures or follow a single thread throughout your crown.

These extensions may be worn as a temporary braid-in enchantment, lasting 4–10 weeks and fully reusable, or they can be permanently bound to the lengths of your natural dreadlocks for those ready to commit more deeply.

  • Every custom extension set begins with a conversation.

You are invited to choose the texture that calls to you — curly, wavy, straight, or wool-soft — along with any colour, length, thickness, and number of locks. Each set is crafted slowly and deliberately, shaped to reflect your energy, your style, and the journey you are stepping into.

To begin your custom order, reach out HERE and we will discuss your individual needs, intentions, and vision for your crown. This allows me to guide you toward the textures, tones, and options best suited to you.

For those who prefer a more grounded connection, in-person consultation appointments are also available — a chance to meet, feel the materials, and set your intentions together before the crafting begins.

Every extension is made as a personal adornment — not mass-produced, not rushed — a spell woven just for you.
